With salon closures keeping the populace from their regularly-scheduled appointments, a local woman has discovered the natural hair color she had not seen since a sleepover party in 8th grade.
“Sometimes, I kind of wonder if it was as blah as I remembered or if that was just teenaged-me being insecure,” said Shelly Sullivan. “It turns out my hair color really is boring. And now there’s also gray.”
Now that her choice to dye her hair has been validated, Sullivan says, she has ordered a box of home hair dye from Amazon but is too afraid to cheat on her stylist with it. “I’ll probably cave any day, though. My husband accidentally called me my mother’s name yesterday.”
Sullivan seemed not to notice that her eyebrows are also in great need of attention and Velvet Hamster felt it impolite to bring this to her attention.
