Fans of the Thundercats and Garfield series are peeved to see details of reboots of each, with ‘Thundercats Roar’ taking an approach more appealing to younger kids, and Garfield becoming a more vicious horror movie.
‘Thundercats Roar’ is a much more lighthearted and comedic version of the original series, and is being panned by Thundercats’ fans for its silly nature. On the flip side, Garfield fans are horrified by the violent, dark and gory nature of the new Garfield, as the large cat destroys buildings, murders civilians and is ultimately killed by the National Guard.
Fans and critics agree, though, that both new adaptations are better than the film ‘Cats’.
