As is usually the case, offices across the country saw employees take sick days Monday after a wild night of partying at their respective Father’s Day ragers.

Specifically in several northwest suburban Chicago offices, thousands of area men reportedly called in sick due to late night parties, some of which ended in the early hours Monday morning.

“I was just getting home around 7 a.m. this morning,” Arlington Heights dad Jon Gostkowski, 47, said. “I’m just glad I had enough composure to call my boss. The party my kids threw for me was off the hook or whatever they say.”

Even with all the sick days Monday, the amount of office absences still pales in comparison to how many people skipped work and school last Friday for Flag Day parties.
