A recently published study has found that there is a direct correlation to the scientific amount of crazy exhibited by a person and the number of posts shared to that person’s Instagram story.

“If a person has, say 10 or so posts to his or her story per week, they are probably safe,” said Dr. James Segura with the Institute of Social Media Psychology. “It is when people start posting that amount per day that one might want to consider adding some distance.”

He suggested looking through the photos for other signs including crazy eyes, which are also a corollary, should further evidence be desired, as the hot/crazy matrix will sometimes confuse the matter.

“When a person’s story looks like morse code,” Segura said, “one may view it as such. It is, in fact, a barely-coded cry to have their crazy fed. I urge viewers to walk away while they can.”
