A search team has been enlisted to try to find a news article – any article – to confirm an area man’s bias as he begins to argue with friends and strangers online.
The argument the man is making – that Donald Trump, the Koch brothers, Sinclair Broadcasting, Vladimir Putin and Chick-Fil-A are intertwined in an international money laundering scheme – was met with immense skepticism when he posted it as his Facebook status. A search team was immediately assembled to find an article or blog post somewhere online that would support his claim.
“He already made his point on Facebook,” a member of the search team said, pushing away reporters. “We don’t have a lot of time.”
The search team has found nothing as of midday Monday, but is committed to continuing its search for as long as it takes.
