Based on the hundreds of thousands of retweets, likes and a positive ratio, the Twitter community declared “Real Patriot 1776 ????” – a Russian bot – the winner in a heated Twitter fight against a chimpanzee on his typewriter.
The debate between the two started over Hillary’s emails, but soon evolved to the Mueller Report, the 2018 Alabama Senate race and who should win the NBA MVP between Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden. While other users came down on both sides of each debate, most users ultimately sided with the Russian bot, though it’s not clear how many of them were also Russian bots.
