Eyeing a comeback to kitchens across the country, representatives for romaine lettuce are planning a public relations listening tour to hear concerns and apologize to those affected by the recent e-coli outbreak.

A publicist with romaine lettuce has said that the entire team at romaine is deeply sorry for the pain it has cause families in late 2018 and early 2019, and that it’s committed to making sure it never happens again.

“We want our once loyal consumers to know we are going to right this wrong,” a romaine spokesman said in a prepared statement. “Before we are back in your salads and on your burgers, we know we need to hear from you.”

Many romaine opponents – such as spinach, kale and iceberg – have already slammed romaine’s “apology tour” as nothing more than pandering. The Hamster will have a traveling correspondent with romaine.
