In a recent poll conducted by Velvet Hamster, an overwhelming majority of parents hope that warnings about kids being given pot-laced Halloween candy are true.

After an evening of trick-or-treating followed by a night of children on a sugar high, 86% of respondents are hoping to find something in their kids’ stash to make the experience bearable.

“After that, I just want to relax,” said a father of 4 who asked not to be named. “I want to enjoy the night, laugh with my kids, and not want to tear my hair out. I’m just saying I wouldn’t mind if a couple of edibles made their way into the bag.”

Experts say there is little to no chance people are going to give their “special treats” to trick-or-treaters.
