Sometimes you can make a statement with no statement at all.

That’s what Enron is doing now. A company that has had its head in sand for nearly two decades, Enron has refused to issue a statement condemning police brutality and racism, and standing up for protesters. Major brands in all industries have done so already, so why is it so hard for Enron?

It might have something to do with the company’s questionable morals. In 2001, we learned about Enron’s deceitful accounting fraud. Or maybe it has something to do with the company’s ties to the Houston Astors – known cheaters.

Or maybe yet, it has something to do with the company no longer existing.

Whatever the reason, it’s embarrassing the company hasn’t said anything. Their silence is deafening. Energy consumers deserve better.
