As guests arrived for the holiday, it has become increasingly clear that nobody knows whose girlfriend that is.
She’s fairly helpful, pretty in a generic kind of way, and never seems to have an opinion on anything that might indicate with whom she came. While, two days ago, groups of two and three family members discussed amongst themselves that they weren’t sure who Whitney (or Wendy. Kim?) was dating. It is now growing increasingly clear that this is at least the majority, if not all, of the family.
As long as she continues to help clear dishes and corral unruly children, nobody is willing to ask too many questions at this point.
