That neighbor who is friendly enough but never comes to any community events has sent his regrets for the Memorial Day Barbecue, despite its cancellation.
“I thought of a really good excuse last year, and just didn’t want to lose an opportunity to use it,” said Jeff Granger, who lives in the yellow house. “Did I know the barbecue was cancelled? No. Do I regret declining the invitation I didn’t get? Also no.”
The Hamster could also not attend.
