Local man Thomas Evans has been keeping a close eye on Winter Storm Dorothy, hoping she prevents him from traveling for Thanksgiving.
Evans, 37, has been invited to spend Thanksgiving locally, watching football with a friend whose wife is a really good cook. If Dorothy leaves him able to travel to his Aunt Linda’s house, Evan says, he will have to pretend to want to spend time with both her and her dry turkey. Linda will also try to introduce him to a woman that he hates and suggest in front of everyone that they should immediately enter a relationship.
“It’s just better all around if I get ‘snowed in’ here and can’t make it.” he told the Velvet Hamster.
It’s about a 50-50 chance that happens, but the Hamster will continue to check the forecast.
