Eric Swalwell hopes people remember his presidential campaign as one that happened

After being the first Democrat to drop out of the 2020 presidential race Monday, Eric Swalwell told reporters he hopes people look back on his presidential campaign and remember as one that happened.

“Even though we didn’t win,” Swalwell said while dropping out, “when people remember our campaign I want them to look back and say ‘oh yeah remember that?'”

“We’ll forever be in the history books, or at least the Wikipedia page for ‘2020 Democratic presidential race’ as a thing.”
