After a lifetime of being asked not to bring sticks into the house, the family dog has questions about large shrub that has been brought into the family home and put into a place of prominence.
In some kind of ritual, the family turned on music and added lighting, trinkets, and glittering strings to the shrub earlier this month and, in the time since, have begun placing veiled offerings to each other underneath. Additional people have started to trickle into the house as the day has gone on.
The Hamster has so far failed to get more of the dog’s thoughts, but has learned there may be a bone in one of the stockings for him.
