Velvet Hamster can confirm exclusively that a new High School Musical product – ‘High School Musical: the Musical: The Series: The Musical Documentary’ – is coming to Disney+.
After the huge success of the movie ‘High School Musical,’ Disney cashed in with ‘High School Musical 2,’ ‘High School Musical 3,’ ‘Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure,’ and a 10th anniversary special, which aired on the Disney Channel in 2016. Meanwhile, theaters around the country were mounting their own productions of ‘Disney’s High School Musical: On Stage.’ Now, with the launch of Disney’s streaming service Disney+, the brand is growing even stronger with the series ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.’ The show follows the students of East High School as they mount a production of ‘High School Musical: The Musical.’
This series, ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: The Musical Documentary,’ will be a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.’ Unlike other documentaries, this will be done in the form of a musical, as required by Disney’s employee contracts requiring song and dance for all non-written communications (which are in limerick).
