A local employee is beginning to slowly realize she mixed up her office’s virtual coffee break and virtual happy hour on her calendar, given that she is the only one drinking.
Melissa Topman, 25, opened a Heineken at 11:30 a.m. this morning for what she thought was happy hour. When she joined the Zoom call, everyone was drinking coffee or tea.
“It’s an honest mistake,” she told the Hamster. “But I was a little embarrassed. I think people were thrown when I ripped a shot to kick off the call, too. I probably shouldn’t have pregamed this.”
The Hamster cannot confirm, though, if any of her coworkers had booze in their coffees.
