Democratic frontrunner Bernie Sanders is under fire this week after defending dictator Fidel Castro in an interview with 60 Minutes, pointing out Castro’s literacy program and how tasty a Cubano sandwich is.

“Yes, we condemn the murdering and jailing of political dissidents,” Sanders told Anderson Cooper. “But have you ever had a Cubano, Anderson? The ham, the roasted pork, the Swiss cheese, the pickles, the mustard.”

“Let me be clear,” Sanders interrupted Cooper as he began to ask a follow up question. “Unlike Donald Trump, I do not like my steak well done with ketchup.”

When Cooper pressed on about Castro’s torturing of priests, nuns and homosexuals, Sanders retorted that a cafecito is really quite delicious and great after a big meal.
