Bernie Sanders riled up an Iowa crowd Thursday by ripping up past due Columbia House notices on stage.
“And fuck these late fees,” Sanders said, ripping up a notice he got 25 years ago. “You are entitled to 20 CDs. We will forgive all your late notices!”
The Iowa crowd roared in support and began chanting “no more late fees!” before Sanders started talking about Blockbuster fee forgiveness and loosening the rules on needing to rewind VHS tapes before returning them to the library. Sanders further pointed out that he’s the only candidate with a plan for late fees, and the only candidate taking on big CD.
Sanders is leading the Iowa field in most polls.
