In a stunning move, Russian President Vladimir Putin has given an ultimatum to the west, demanding Spotify remove Joe Rogan from its platform or Russia will invade Ukraine.
Putin’s move follows that of Neil Young, India Arie and others in demanding Rogan’s removal from the platform for allegedly spreading COVID misinformation on his podcast. While Putin has never listened to the podcast himself, he is standing firm in his conviction that Rogan is responsible for thousands of deaths. Invading Ukraine, he said, would be in defiance of that mass podcast murdering.
Spotify has yet to respond, but as of now Putin’s music is still available on the platform and he is earning portions of a dollar off it.
