Recently freed Ever Given ship to throw out first pitch on Opening Day

The Suez Canal is finally open again, and the ship previously blocking the way is making quite the name for itself. 

On Thursday, the Ever Given ship will throw out the first pitch at Nationals Park for the Opening Day game between the Washington Nationals and the New York Mets. While invited to throw out the first pitch at the Pirates game, a fear of having its cargo stolen led Ever Given to opt for the Nationals game instead

This appearance for the first pitch comes after a tense interview on The View, in which Ever Given got offended at Whoopi Goldberg’s insinuation that he blocked the Canal “for the clout.”
