A new poll from Hamster Public Polling finds that both conservatives and liberals alike become happier about the state and direction of the country once they remember and think about the fact this is all just a simulation that will be over soon.

Faith in the direction of the country jumped 17 points among conservatives once they remembered this was all a simulation, and a whopping 37 points among liberals when told so. Additionally, when the phrase “this is all going to end someday” is mentioned, happiness among both groups jumped between 60-70 points.

The Hamster poll concluded by suggesting caring less would lead to more happiness in general, but found that most in each ideological space would not follow through on that.
