A day after complaining to the White House that the President retweeted a satirical article, the editorial team at Snopes openly questioned if they were perhaps out of touch, though they ultimately decided no, it’s the children who are wrong.
“Some people are saying we’re being ridiculous,” Snopes founder David Mikkelson said to his team. “Are we so out of touch?”
The team discussed briefly before Mikkelson powerfully declared “It’s the children who are wrong!” Writers and editors at Snopes spent the rest of the afternoon scouring the internet for jokes that may have been rooted in false information to tattle on them to the appropriate authorities.
