A Hampshire, England man dying in a hallway hospital expressed his deep appreciation for the country’s National Health Service.

Edward Taylor spoke to the Hamster from his gurney in a corridor of North Hampshire General Hospital.

“To think that, in America, there are people who can’t get on a waiting list,” he said gasping for air as his oxygen supply was jostled by hospital visitors. “It just isn’t right. I’m grateful I live in a country where the taxation is worth something.”

Update: Taylor passed away at the age of 54. He is scheduled to see an oncologist in early 2021 to discuss his options for treatment.
