Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James had reportedly been cut from the Tune Squad for the upcoming Space Jam 2 film, with the role now going to Phoenix Suns forward Jae Crowder.
Tune Squad management was said to be disappointed in James’ performance in getting bounced in the first round of the NBA playoffs, but was incredibly impressed with Crowder’s performance and felt his leadership would go alone way in beating the Monstars. James will now be a movie free agent this summer.
“We need to actually win,” Bugs Bunny told the Hamster. “This is a move that will help us achieve our goals and make for a better film. We wish LeBron the best and hope he can find another cartoon.”
LeBron was not available for comment, but has told those close to him that he blames his personal injuries and mostly Kyle Kuzma.
