A fiery first day of President Donald Trump’s Senate impeachment trial showed his legal team ready to rumble, with the trio of Alan Dershowitz, Ken Starr and Lionel Hutz on the offensive.

Dershowitz and Starr went to cable news to say Trump committed no criminal offense, which is needed for impeachment. White House Counsel Pat Cipollone slammed Democrats on the Senate floor, saying “Talk about the framer’s worst nightmare; it’s a partisan impeachment that they’ve delivered to your doorstep in an election year.”

Lionel Hutz added: “Hutz is the name. Lionel Hutz, attorney-at-law. Here’s my card. It turns into a sponge when you put it in water.”

With these opening statements, we could be in for an intense impeachment trial to the very finish. The Hamster will continue to provide updates on it as it develops.
