A sequel to the 2020 film ‘Impeachment’ is tanking with viewers, with many saying it’s just not as compelling as the original.

The first Impeachment was a smash hit when it was released on CNN, Fox News and MSNBC in early 2020. The producers took that as a signal to make another, but this time it’s not doing so well. Critics have called it ‘uninteresting,’ noting the lack of the first movie’s central villain. Ratings are down 80 percent for the sequel, which is still set the air for a few more weeks.

There is no word yet on if there will be a third movie in the trilogy, but the actors in the first two are excited to get to work on another project to “rile viewers up” some time by 2022.
