After months of waiting, the Food and Drug Administration has finally given full approval of Kix, a cereal that has long been kid tested.

Kids began testing Kix this spring and has proved to be mostly a good part of a balanced breakfast. With still about 40 percent of the population hesitant about Kix, the FDA approval should calm any reservations that exist about the cereal’s effectiveness or safety.

“Kix is 100% safe and delicious,” the FDA said in a statement. “This has long been kid tested with success, but now we can say with certainty that it’s FDA approved. We urge everyone to have two bowls of Kix to start their day to prevent hunger.”

The FDA has not yet weighed in on Fruity Pebbles or Cookie Crisp.
