Moments after instituting a controversial vaccine mandate, President Joe Biden is reportedly meeting with his teams to see if he has the authority to mandate that COVID-19 just stop spreading.
“By Executive Order, we can tell the COVID, this virus, we can say ‘stop it right there, jack,'” Biden said to advisors late Thursday afternoon. “We have that power, right? We can do the thing, the virus will be gone. Just like that. Save lives.”
The legality of mandating the virus stop spreading is unclear, though some progressives on Twitter have cited an obscure 19th century court case and the fact that this is an emergency as possible justification.
