Chaos has ensued at the start of the 2021 NFL Draft, as NFL commissioner Roger Goodell struggled to read the Jacksonville Jaguars’ front office’s handwriting on their draft card and wasn’t quite sure who to announce as the pick.
“Traven Lauren?’ Goodell said confused. “Let me get my readers on. I still can’t read this. Can someone help? Did they mean Zach Wilson?”
After several minutes and finally getting Jaguars General Manager Trent Baalke on the phone to confirm, it appears they may have meant to write Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence. We will confirm once we know for sure.
