The morning after a heartbreaking overtime loss in the NCAA national championship, Texas Tech Mascot Raider Red told a scrum of reporters that ultimately, the players have a lot to be proud of as they played hard, never gave up and rather easily hit the over at 120.5.
“Our guys just would not quit,” Raider Red said after taking a swig of tequila from a flask. “It shows in how easily they hit the over in the point total.”
“Even after getting off to a slow start and not covering the first half line, they kept with it and not only got over 120.5, but hit the live total at 130.5. In my mind, we are winners.”
Raider Red concluded his question and answer session by adding that he’s looking forward to football season, where he’s confident Texas Tech will win over 6.5 games.
