Following significant pressure, the NBA has announced it will finally be getting rid of misogynistic equipment like “balls.”
A source at the NBA told Velvet Hamster “In 2020, it just seemed wrong to have grown men flagrantly displaying balls on the court. It’s offensive, and we care foremost about human rights issues.” While talks are still underway, it is expected that the NBA and WNBA will be using less problematic equipment like the shuttlecock.
