Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty – under investigation for allegedly punching a 13-year-old boy – has accepted a plea deal in which he gave up his friend Phillie Phanatic on a complicated money laundering scheme.

The NHL and police began investigating claims Gritty hit a young Flyers fan, but the mascot quickly squashed that by accepting a deal to name the Phanatic – and possibly other mascots – on a money concealment scheme that could spread throughout sports.

The Hamster is still earning details, but the homes of Southpaw, the San Diego Chicken and Mr. Met have all been raided. Benny the Bull has claimed innocence.
