The much-anticipated ‘Field of Dreams’ game between the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees is under delay, as dozens of dead baseball players have emerged from the cornfields and are walking aimlessly through the outfield.
This may have seemed inevitable as the entire movie revolves around players nonsensically coming back from the dead to play in a deranged man’s baseball game, but Major League Baseball proceeded to hold the game anyway. It’s unclear at this time how long the delay will last, but the grounds crew is doing its best to defeat the zombies.
