Despite several attempts by reporters, Maximum Security – the horse who was disqualified from the Kentucky Derby after initially being declared the winner – is refusing to answer questions, in large part because he’s a horse and can’t talk.
Reporters have pressed him on his emotions during the race, what was going through his mind and what his emotions are like now after. He has not answered any questions, which leaves some reporters thinking he may still be upset but all are in agreement that it’s probably a lot to do with the fact that he’s a horse. Horses, experts agree, can’t talk.
Many reporters are still hoping to land an exclusive interview with the horse, though they may need a translator who speaks horse if one exists.
