Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam – embroiled in a blackface scandal earlier this year – may actually get past that whole thing, as a recent study shows the nation has already forgotten about all or most of that whole deal.
The study surveyed likely voters on their opinion of Northam, if they remember the scandal and if they think he should be able to get through all that stuff. A whopping 90 percent of Virginia voters didn’t remember any of it, another 75 percent didn’t have an opinion on Northam and about said “sure why not” when asked if he should be able to get through all that stuff.
Researchers concluded a majority of respondents fit into the category of “meh” on the issue overall, with a slightly smaller percentage in a group considered “whatever fuck it.”
