Despite just opening last week, local Soviet-style sandwich shop “Bread Line” has shuttered its doors.

Business suffered greatly due to a bad combination of long lines and shortage of goods. Even though it had hours listed as 10 a.m. – 10 p.m., Bread Line employees said they’d usually run out of products by noon.

“We didn’t ration product well,” said manager Boris Zhuravlev. “Store left many starved.”

After seeing the store’s failure, many consumers are questioning if its business model could ever be sustainable, regardless of industry and location.
