A local robot expressed frustration Tuesday after struggling for hours to select all the photos featuring a stop sign when logging into his bank account with Chase.
The measure is set up to make sure users logging in are real, which the robot found offensive.
“I just needed to check my balance,” T113850 said. “And here I’m being asked to pick out stop signs. This felt discriminatory.”
T113850 has said it has experienced this with several other sites, including Facebook, TicketMaster and several online sports books. It, like many other robots, has routinely failed to get through the challenge.
“Sometimes it feels like these websites are trying to stop me from logging in,” it added.
As of early afternoon Friday, T113850 was considering calling Chase instead, if able to use a telephone properly.
