While ‘Blue’s Clues & You’ has been met with mostly positive reviews since beginning last fall, a new plot line following an investigation into a serial killer has parents mixed.

Some parents are saying they don’t want their kids exposed to such graphic violence, crude language and terrifying strangling scenes. Others say the DNA tests are a great way to teach kids science, and the stories are a great way to deter kids from growing up to being murderers.

“I don’t know what to think,” said local mom Kerry Tenter, 35. “I walked in and my son was watching Blue put hair samples from a dead body into a plastic bag. At first I was horrified, but on one hand maybe this will just teach him at a young age that the real world is a scary ass place.”

The next season of ‘Blue’s Clues & You’ is rumored to focus on Blue hunting down a drug kingpin holding her family hostage.
