A peace process is finally underway between Israel and Palestine, as leaders on both sides are reviewing Americans’ Instagram stories for advice on how to move forward.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have been analyzing young Americans’ Instagram stories for insight on their conflict that’s been raging for nearly a century. So far, thanks to the brightest 18-25 year old American minds, they are making progress.
“I used to see Hamas as an evil terrorist group, but this meme on Instagram from Jess at the University of Wisconsin-Madison says otherwise,” Netanyahu said. “There was also a great listicle she shared on 10 things you don’t know about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I am learning so much.”
The Palestinian side echoed those comments.
“We are happy to have the support of so many Americans and their Instagram stories,” Abbas said. “But I also learned that Israel has a ‘right to defend itself’ according to some. They used those exact words so many times it is starting to resonate.”
