In a lesser known tradition than its springtime counterpart, Punxsutawney Phil today saw his sunburn, meaning there will be seven more weeks of summer and fall is delayed until November.
This comes as many social media users celebrated the first day of fall with the hashtag #autumnequinox. However, today’s news out of Pennsylvania has pushed that day to Nov. 7. Likewise, Starbucks has postponed selling pumpkin-spiced lattes.
Some schools have said to be extending summer vacation to Thanksgiving.
