The Hamster has confirmed that an employee who remarked how glad she was that she had ‘all these assholes on mute’ was in fact not on mute during a conference call.
The employee – who has asked to remain anonymous even though all her coworkers know – is reportedly mortified and trying to find reasons why everyone may not have noticed, even though they definitely did. The awkward silence immediately after her comment more or less confirms that.
There likely will be no ramifications of her comment, as everyone is pretending not to notice.
