Embattled former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s nomination as ambassador to Japan is ruffling some feathers, but Emanuel promises if appointed he won’t cover up many murders.

“If I’m lucky enough to be confirmed for the position, I will do everything in my power to be transparent about who we kill,” Emanuel said. “I’ve learned from my mistakes. If as ambassador my office murders some people, I will only cover up a few, if any.”

Most of the other potential nominees Biden considered did not cover up many murders.
