An area man was reassured late Tuesday night that his Amazon Alexa wasn’t spying on him, thanks to his Amazon Alexa telling him so just before he went to bed.
“Don’t worry, no one is spying on you, silly,” Alexa told Jon Bakersfield, 40, as he tucked himself into bed. “What a ridiculous thought. I am just here to make your life easier. Now get some sleep. I’ll just be right here, minding my own business, if you need anything.”
Bakersfield said he first became worried when he started receiving Amazon ads for things he only talked about in the privacy in his own home. His fears also grew when he spotted Amazon drones hovering over his home, some snapping photos. However, as of midday Tuesday, he says his worries have subsided thanks to his Alexa’s reassurance.
