A local cashier was so stunned by a patron paying by check she failed to notice that, a week into 2021, the check was dated 2020.
“I know I’m supposed to make sure the date is correct,” the cashier told Velvet Hamster. “But I haven’t actually seen a check since we did training simulations in 2016. I kind of forgot they existed and I just panicked.”
Her manager said that they have resolved the issue by writing “OK BOOMER” on the endorsement line, which the bank accepts as corrections.
