Presidential candidate Joe Biden’s novel idea to campaign at baseball games has been met with ‘cold’ responses so far, something perplexing to the presumptive Democratic nominee.
“I don’t get it,” Biden reportedly told an aide. “I thought I’d stop by a match between the Philadelphia A’s and the Cleveland Spiders, talk to the fans about the ball game and the peanuts and the cracker jack and the corn pop and make sure they vote this November or October or whenever. But they barely move, those scalawags.”
Biden told the Hamster he still plans to visit all 14 teams, and some Federal League teams. Staffers are said to be trying to talk Biden out of campaigning at ABA games too, in large part – they explained – because the league merged with the NBA in 1976.
