A local man received good news today, when he found out his COVID-like symptoms were not COVID at all, and were instead just Ebola.
Marc Reider, 30, had been experiencing a cough and a bit of a fever this week and went in for the COVID-19 test. His doctor informed him luckily he did not have it, and instead has a mild case of Ebola.
“I was relieved,” Reider said. “I was planning to quarantine for 14 days, but now I’m in the clear to go to any and all bars this weekend. Just gonna take a Tylenol and have myself a nap and I should be good to go.”
His smallpox tests have yet to come back.
