Shortly after charges were dropped and he reiterated his innocence, Jussie Smollett stressed to reporters that he just hopes to return to his normal life, acting, performing and eating Subway.

“Really, I want to get my career back on track,” Smollett said in a prepared statement. “I am also eager to grab a sweet onion chicken teriyaki, with sun dried tomato Sun Chips.”

“I’m pumped that tomorrow is Italian BMT day too. $5. You can’t beat that deal.”

Reporters pressed Smollett if he will continue to stick by his version of the story or if he would make any concessions. Smollett, though, insisted he did indeed order a black forest ham on wheat on the night in question, and could not recall if he got a cookie.
